Now a multi-film mega franchise, Sonic The Hedgehog was a pretty big swing in 2019 – and just as Callum set off to live in Los Angeles that year, he stumbled across a receptionist that worked at Paramount Pictures. A few days later and getting invited through the gates of the studio, the filmmaker and musician got to have a meeting at the Technicolor building to talk to the team creating the Sonic The Hedgehog feature – and to present an original track titled ‘Alive Again’. The memories of taking lessons from Academy Award winning sound designers, geeking out over a blue hedgehog and teaming up with LA-based pop punk band Cold Weather Kids will never fade.

The cherry on top? Getting to watch the film on the Paramount lot at a special screening just for the filmmakers and their families.

What remains is the song ‘Alive Again’, packed with nods to Sonic’s adventures and a sprinkle of Callum’s own fast-paced view at life and creativity.
